Sri Andal’s Thiruppavai and Vaaranamayiram - Vol.1

Starting with two hymns in homage to Sri Aandal this CD has the first sixteen of the 'Thiruppavai' hymns set in various classical tunes. Hymns are rendered vocally and on the Veena.

Sri Andal’s Thiruppavai and Vaaranamayiram - Vol. 2

This CD has the last fourteen of the 'Thiruppavai' hymns followed by Sri Aandal's ten 'Vaaranamayiram' poems in a 'Ragamalika' . Again all poems are rendered vocally and on the Veena.

Veena Gaanamaala

This CD commences with an invocation sloka and the beautiful Bowli number ‘Melukovayya’ followed by other wonderful compositions of Sri Thyagaraja . The numbers include his famous composition ‘Nagu momu ganaleni’, his soulful ‘Mokshamu galadaa’, and his rhythmic piece ‘Ninu Vinaa Naamadi’. The concluding piece is Sri Annamayya’s sweet lullaby ‘Jo Achudhaananda’- all rendered melodiously on the Veena with mridangam accompaniment.

Commencing with ‘Evari Bodhana’, a ‘varnam’ this CD includes beautiful and popular numbers of Sri Thyagaraja and Sri Mysore Vasudevacharya.. The numbers played include Sri Thyagaraja’s soulful composition ‘Ksheera sagara sayana’, his rhythmic number
‘Aada modi galadaa’, and Sri Vasudevacharya’s masterpiece ‘Raa Raa Rajeeva Lochana Rama’.
All numbers are melodiously rendered on the Veena with miridagam accompaniment.

Haridasara Ganamalika

Numbers in this CD comprise of the beautiful compositions of Sri Prrandaradasa and Sri Vyasa Raya. The songs played melodiously pn the Veena with mridangam accompaniment commence with the majestic ‘Gaja vadana’ followed by ‘Narayana’, ‘Chandrachooda’, ‘Kandena Govindana’ and ‘Jagododharana’ –all Sri Purandaradasa’s compositions. The concluding number in this CD is Sri Vysa Raya’s mesmerizing composition ‘Krishna Nee Begane Baro’ with the added ankle bell accompaniment.
